Quick Tip: Ready to Change?

Markets are like the weather, always changing. Trends become ranges. Ranges become trends. High volatility becomes low. Low volatility becomes high.

That’s pretty much it for markets, only four conditions.

If you carefully analyze your losers you may find that the change in market conditions was the cause. One challenge many traders have is they only trade one strategy. Since no strategy works well in all the market conditions this leads to two outcomes… staying in a losing streak or not trading at all.

Here’s an example: Our team has 5 trading strategies with edge to pick from. They are tuned for the different market conditions. The equity curves of each strategy are updated weekly. When one is struggling there are others that are not struggling.

Our Volume Profile strategy is on fire right now. Our intraday trend strategy is not. A couple of months ago it was the opposite.

Only by having multiple strategies, being confident in their edge, documenting their performance, and analyzing current market conditions can you “be in the right place at the right time.”
